Kadia Dungar caves, Buddhist caves in India
The Kadia Dungar caves consist of seven caves carved out of limestone hills.
These caves are an example of monastic architecture from the 1st to 2nd century AD.
The caves feature inscriptions and a brick stupa depicting ancient Buddhist traditions.
The site is located in the Bharuch district, near Jhagadia Taluka, Gujarat.
One of the caves is unique for its large chaitya, an assembly or prayer hall.
