Al-Rashid Mausoleum, Seljuk mausoleum near Shahrestan Bridge, Isfahan, Iran

The Al-Rashid Mausoleum stands with a single dome on the northern bank of Zayanderud, constructed from stone, brick, and plaster materials.

Originally built as a mosque in the 12th century on ruins of a Zoroastrian fire temple, the structure became the burial place of Abbasid caliph Al-Rashid Billah.

The mausoleum represents the transformation of religious spaces in Iran, evolving from a Zoroastrian temple to an Islamic monument with Seljuk architectural elements.

Located at coordinates 32.62975° latitude and 51.718181° longitude in District 4 of Isfahan, the mausoleum remains accessible for historical research and visits.

The structure contains multiple burials, including Shah Ibrahim and Husayn ibn Zayd al-Hasani, whose wooden zarih surrounds his grave within the mausoleum.
