The Biblioteca Marciana is one of the largest libraries in Italy and holds one of the greatest collections of classical texts in the world.
It was built between 1537 and 1588, based on a design by Jacopo Sansovino.
The library is named after St. Mark, the patron saint of Venice.
It's located in the Piazza San Marco, right next to the Doge's Palace.
The library houses more than a million manuscripts, including rare ancient Greek and Latin texts.
