Archbishop San Senator Settala founded the basilica between 472-475, making it one of the earliest religious establishments in the Lombardy capital.
The interior walls contain multiple artistic elements, including polychrome frescoes and the painting Madonna and Child by Marco d'Oggiono.
The church stands at Piazza Sant'Eufemia 2 in Milan, maintaining regular hours for religious services and architectural tours throughout the year.
