Palazzo Archinto

Palazzo Archinto is a baroque palace in Milan with eight main rooms on the first floor, decorated with frescoes painted by renowned artists. The spaces feature elaborately crafted ceilings and wall paintings that showcase the artistic skill of master painters.

The palace came into the Archinto family's hands in 1674 when a marriage united two prominent Milan families. The building remained an important family residence across generations.

The rooms show how Milan's nobility lived and decorated their spaces with care and attention. Handcrafted ornamental details and elaborate paintings throughout reveal the tastes of the people who once inhabited it.

The palace is located near Porta Ticinese and currently belongs to a social institution. Before visiting the interior, check ahead since access may be limited to certain times or groups.

In the middle of the 1800s, the family's famous art collection was sold off due to financial troubles and disappeared from the palace. Those artworks can now be found scattered across museums and private collections worldwide.
