Il Redentore, Catholic Church in Venice, Italy.
Il Redentore is a 16th-century Catholic church located on Giudecca island in Venice, Italy.
Designed by the Italian architect Andrea Palladio, Il Redentore was built as a votive church to thank God for the deliverance of the city from a major outbreak of the plague.
Every year on the third Sunday in July, the Festa del Redentore is celebrated, which includes a bridge of boats connecting Giudecca to the rest of Venice.
The church is reachable via vaporetto and has an admission fee for visitors.
