Sant'Ignazio Church, Baroque Catholic church in Campo Marzio, Italy.
The church interior spans 81.5 meters in length and features a Latin cross layout with three chapels on each side connected by passages.
Cardinal Ludovico Ludovisi commissioned the construction in 1626 to replace the Annunziata church that had become too small for Roman College students.
The ceiling displays Andrea Pozzo's masterwork depicting Saint Ignatius ascending to Paradise, incorporating advanced perspective techniques and architectural illusions.
The church opens daily from morning until evening, offering guided tours through the Pietre Vive volunteer program to explain the architectural features.
The church contains a painted canvas dome measuring 13 meters in diameter, created by Andrea Pozzo in 1685 and recreated by Francesco Manno in 1823.
