Giants' grave, Megalithic burial site in Sardinia, Italy

The Giants' Grave features a rectangular burial chamber with an apse and measures between 5 to 15 meters in length and 1 to 2 meters in height.

The Nuragic civilization constructed these collective tombs throughout Sardinia between 1600 and 238 BCE, with over 800 structures discovered across the island.

Each tomb contains a central stone slab up to 4 meters tall with a carved doorway, representing a passage between the world of the living and the dead.

The burial chambers incorporate large stone blocks arranged side by side, displaying two main construction types: the slab style and the block style.

Near the entrance stands an obelisk called betile in Sardinian language, marking the presence of ancestral guardians watching over the deceased.
