St George's Church, Anglican church in Campo San Vio, Venice, Italy
St George's Church is a converted warehouse building located in Campo San Vio, positioned between the Accademia Art Gallery and the Peggy Guggenheim Museum near the Grand Canal. Inside, the space features plain white walls and simple furnishings that create a bright, minimal setting for worship.
The church was designed in 1926 by engineer Luigi Marangoni, who incorporated sculptures by artist Napoleone Martinuzzi into the building's design. This early 20th-century project reflects the modern architectural approach of its era.
The church conducts services in English every Sunday morning, connecting international residents and visitors through religious ceremonies and community gatherings.
Visitors can arrive by taking waterbus line 1 to the Accademia stop or line 2 to Zattere, with only a short walk needed from either point. The location sits conveniently within walking distance of several other major attractions.
The church maintains the distinction of being the sole provider of English-language Sunday services throughout Venice.
