Monte Fenera Natural Park

Monte Fenera Natural Park covers 3,300 hectares of land between the Novarese plain and Sesia Valley, reaching an elevation of 899 meters.

Archaeological excavations in the park's karst caves revealed Neanderthal remains, Paleolithic artifacts, and cave bear fossils dating back 20,000 years.

The park contains traditional Taragnan structures, which are huts with straw roofs used by local farmers during the eighth and ninth centuries.

Black storks established nesting sites within the park in 1994, leading to extensive research programs supported by the park administration.
