Yoshikawa, Residential city in Saitama Prefecture, Japan.

Yoshikawa spans across 31.66 square kilometers of land between the Edo River and Naka River, 20 kilometers from central Tokyo.

The region evolved from a deep part of Tokyo Bay to agricultural land, leading to its establishment as a village in 1889 and city status in 1996.

The city maintains traditions of rice cultivation and straw product manufacturing, including materials used in professional sumo wrestling rings.

Yoshikawa features eight elementary schools, four middle schools, and one high school, serving its population of 73,262 residents across 31,031 households.

The territory belonged to the Yoshikawa family, who maintain substantial real estate holdings and contribute financial support to local residents.
