Miho no Matsubara, Scenic area in Shizuoka, Japan
Miho no Matsubara is a picturesque seaside area with over seven kilometers of coastline lined with green pine trees.
The area is associated with the legend of Hagoromo, a celestial robe of feathers, which has been a popular subject in Japanese Noh and Kabuki theatre.
Miho no Matsubara is also known for its beautiful views of Mount Fuji, often depicted in traditional Japanese Ukiyo-e prints.
It's a part of the Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park and a component of the World Heritage Site: Fujisan, sacred place and source of artistic inspiration.
The black sand beach and the grove of 30,000 pine trees make it a unique landscape.
