Hashima Island, Deserted island in Japan
Hashima Island, also known as Ghost Island, is an uninhabited island located off the coast of Nagasaki, Japan.
From 1887 to 1974, the island was populated due to its undersea coal mines.
Featured in media and films like the James Bond film Skyfall, it's known for its haunting, post-apocalyptic landscape.
Tours to the island are available from nearby Nagasaki city.
Designated UNESCO World Heritage site in 2015.
