Kannonji Castle, Castle in Japan
Kannonji Castle is a flatland-style Japanese castle located in Osaka.
The castle was built during the Sengoku period by Miyoshi Nagayoshi.
It's named after Kannon, the Buddhist deity of mercy.
Today, only the stone walls and moats remain of the original structure.
It's one of the few castles in Japan that was never reconstructed or modernized.
