Nittai-ji, Buddhist temple in Japan

Nittai-ji is a Buddhist temple located in Kakuozan, Chikusa-ku, Nagoya, central Japan.

Established in 1904, it houses the first ever Buddha's ashes that came to Japan from India.

The temple is known for its monthly flea market and the annual Kakuozan Spring Festival.

It's open daily from 5:00 am to 4:00 pm with no admission fee.

Nittai-ji is the only temple in Japan that does not belong to any sect.
