Historical Museum of Waterworks and Sewerage, Waterworks museum in Tsukigaoka, Japan.
The Historical Museum of Waterworks and Sewerage contains four exhibition rooms showcasing the development of water management systems throughout Japanese history.
The museum displays original wooden pipes and tanks from the Edo Period that were discovered during excavations near Nagoya Castle.
The exhibits demonstrate how Japanese society transitioned from traditional water management methods to modern systems through collaboration with international engineers.
Located 1.2 kilometers south of Chayagasaka Station, the museum welcomes visitors from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM and provides audio guides in English, Korean, Chinese, and Japanese.
The museum features a collection of Anglo-American Venturi water meters from the early twentieth century, documenting the technological evolution of water measurement.
