Altyn-Emel National Park, National park in Kazakhstan
Altyn-Emel National Park is the largest national reserve in Kazakhstan, covering over 4600 square kilometers.
Established in 1996, it is home to historical and archaeological sites dating back to the Bronze Age.
The park is known for its 'singing' sand dune, a natural phenomenon that produces musical sounds.
Visitors need special permission to visit the park, which can be obtained from the Department of Tourism and Foreign Affairs.
It hosts a variety of rare and endangered species including the Przewalski horse.
