The manor complex includes multiple buildings such as a smokehouse, barn, dwelling house, and stables, positioned between Ilgio and Apvalaso lakes.
Baron Berndt Kersenboick I established the manor in 1515, managing an estate of 615 hectares along with peasant lands spanning 2,234 hectares.
The von Korff family expanded the estate's influence through strategic marriages and constructed a Lutheran church near Ilsen around 1790.
Following extensive restoration work that began in 2012, the main building opened its doors to visitors in 2017.
The property changed ownership multiple times, from noble families to a German engineer, until the Soviet government confiscated it in 1940.
