Veczemju Cliffs, Protected coastal cliffs in Salacgrīva Parish, Latvia.

The red sandstone cliffs extend for 480 meters along the Baltic Sea coast, reaching heights of 6 meters above the water level.

The geological formations of Veczemju Cliffs developed during the Devonian period between 300 and 400 million years ago through natural erosion processes.

The cliffs serve as a research site for geologists and scientists studying the formation patterns of Latvia's coastal landscapes over millennia.

Visitors can access the cliffs throughout the year without entrance fees, with dedicated parking facilities available near the camping area Klintis.

The cliffs contain numerous small caves, niches, and grottoes that showcase varying shades of red sandstone from light to dark hues.
