Armen de Poth, Medieval almshouse complex in Amersfoort, Netherlands
The complex contains 48 residential units arranged around the Sint-Rochuskapel chapel, featuring three entrance gates and traditional Dutch architectural elements.
Founded by the Brotherhood of the Holy Spirit in the 14th century, the institution provided care for plague victims and distributed weekly food to local residents.
The regents' chamber and cellar sisters' room preserve the historical organization structure where community leaders managed assistance for elderly citizens.
The site opens from sunrise to sunset except Sundays, with guided tours offering access to the chapel, display house, and cellar sisters' room.
One of the residences functions as a display house, demonstrating the original living conditions while the remaining 47 units continue housing elderly residents.
