Varangerhalvøya National Park, National park in Båtsfjord, Nesseby, Vadsø, and Vardø municipalities, Norway.

Varangerhalvøya National Park covers 1,804 square kilometers of Arctic tundra, coastal cliffs, wetlands, and riparian valleys that drain into the Varanger Fjord and Barents Sea.

The park was established in 2006 to preserve the northernmost Arctic landscape on mainland Norway, which has been inhabited since the Stone Age according to archaeological findings.

Local Sami communities continue their traditional reindeer herding practices within the park boundaries, maintaining cultural connections to the land that span thousands of years.

Visitors can access the park through information centers in Kiberg and the Varanger Sami Museum, with summer months offering the best conditions for camping and wildlife observation.

The park represents one of the few places where Arctic and Siberian plant species converge with southern flora on lime-rich bedrock that supports rare species like Papaver dahlianum.
