Lomen stave church

The wooden structure features a rectangular nave, a narrow chancel, and a small sacristy located on the south side of the chancel area.

Archaeological excavations at the church site uncovered 71 artifacts, including jewelry and coins dating back to the twelfth century construction period.

The medieval chest in the choir contains an ancient runic inscription, while carved wooden portals display intricate animal decorations throughout the church.

The church charges admission fees of 80 NOK for adults, 50 NOK for children between 6-16 years, and 200 NOK for families, accepting cash payments only.

The Madonna-head displayed on the altar is a plaster reproduction of the original thirteenth-century artifact, now preserved at Valdres Folk Museum in Fagernes.
