Marstein Lighthouse, Coastal lighthouse in Austevoll, Norway
The lighthouse features a 17-meter square masonry tower with white walls and a red roof, standing at the entrance to Korsfjord and Bergen.
Built in 1877, the lighthouse endured multiple bombings during World War II when German forces occupied the structure, leading to reconstruction in 1949.
The local newspaper Marsteinen, established in 1978, takes its name from this maritime beacon that guides ships to Bergen and Hardangerfjorden.
The facility operates as a hotel with 11 rooms and 22 beds, offering overnight stays and meeting spaces following its 2010 renovation.
The lighthouse emits both white and red lights, with the white beam reaching an intensity of 840,000 candela visible from 11 nautical miles.
