Salemkirken Oslo

Salemkirken Oslo is a brick building in Grünerløkka featuring a low tower with narrow window slits along its walls. The church accommodates about 800 people in its main hall and was designed with a straightforward, functional layout.

The church was founded in 1936 and replaced an earlier structure from 1918. After merging with the Intro congregation in 2016, it became part of a new phase of church activities.

The interior follows Pentecostal traditions with minimal decoration, and the main hall opens to a restaurant area through sliding doors. This layout reflects how the congregation values community gathering and simple worship.

The building is located at Sannergata 12 in a walkable area of the neighborhood. Visitors can attend regular services in a straightforward and welcoming setting.

The building was designed by architect Odd Kjellhov and represents an interesting example of modern religious architecture. Its restrained design with characteristic narrow windows makes it stand out in the urban landscape.
