Ankerhytten, Mountain hut in Bergen Municipality, Norway.
Located on Sandviksfjellet below Kvitebjørnen mountain, Ankerhytten stands as a wooden shelter offering views over the surrounding Bergen landscape.
Built in 1898, the hut witnessed a significant event in 1944 when an anchor fragment from the exploded ship Voorbode landed near its location.
The KFUM and KFUK scouts from Biskopshavn Church renovated the structure in 1981, transforming it into a gathering point for outdoor enthusiasts.
Visitors can access Ankerhytten through marked trails from Fløyen or Stoltzekleiven, with the cabin providing shelter during hiking expeditions.
The exact landing spot of the three-kilometer-projected anchor piece from the 1944 explosion remains marked by a commemorative plate at the hut.
