Rundemanen

Rundemanen is a mountain in Bergen Municipality reaching 568 meters in elevation and forms part of the range encircling the city center. The peak is accessible from multiple starting points and offers views across the city and surrounding water.

A road was constructed to the peak in 1912 to build a radio transmission station that operated for decades. The mountain became an important communications point for the surrounding region during that era.

The mountain holds its place as one of the seven mountains surrounding Bergen, making it an essential part of the local outdoor recreation tradition.

Routes are accessible from several starting points and most hikes require between 3 and 4 hours to reach the summit. Proper footwear and weather protection are recommended since conditions at the top can change quickly.

A 106-meter tall communications mast stands at the peak and makes it easily identifiable from many vantage points around Bergen. This structure has served as a distinctive landmark from afar for many years.
