Sandsfjordbrua, Road bridge in Suldal, Norway
Sandsfjordbrua is a concrete bridge that crosses a fjord waterway in Suldal. The structure connects different areas of the region and allows traffic to pass directly over the water instead of taking longer routes around it.
The bridge was completed in 2015 and provides a modern connection across the fjord. Before its opening, travel between the two sides of the waterway required much longer routes.
The Sandsfjordbrua forms part of the Norwegian Scenic Route Ryfylke, connecting communities and providing access to regional cultural destinations throughout the area.
The bridge is in good condition and passable for all vehicle types. Visitors can use it to travel through the region or simply experience it as part of a drive through western Norway.
Engineers designed the concrete structure to withstand the specific environmental conditions of western Norway while maintaining efficient traffic flow across the fjord.
