Lunag Ri, Mountain summit in Rolwaling Himal, Nepal
Lunag Ri is a mountain summit in the Rolwaling Himal range that rises to 6,895 meters, with three separate glaciers adorning its slopes. The Lunag Glacier occupies the southern side, while Nangpag and Shalong glaciers sit on the eastern and northern flanks respectively.
The mountain saw its first recorded ascent in 2018 when David Lama reached the summit after earlier attempts with Conrad Anker were halted by severe storms. This success marked a significant milestone in the exploration of this remote peak.
Sherpa communities in the Solukhumbu region have long served as expert mountain guides and keepers of climbing traditions in these high peaks. Visitors encounter people whose knowledge and connection to the mountains shape daily life and culture throughout the area.

A secondary peak called Jobo Rinjang rises to 6,778 meters on the southeastern side of the mountain, forming a distinctive twin summit arrangement. This neighboring peak is sometimes considered part of the broader summit complex and adds to the complex mountainous character of the range.
