Trzcinica stands in the administrative district of Gmina Jasło, located 5 kilometers west of Jasło and 54 kilometers southwest of Rzeszów.
Archaeological excavations revealed a Bronze Age settlement from 2100 BCE, where researchers discovered more than 30,000 artifacts from ancient civilizations.
The settlement contains clay wheels and animal figurines that demonstrate the influence of the Otomani-Fűzesabony culture from the Carpathian Basin.
The village maintains a population of 2,303 residents as of March 2021, with local roads connecting it to the nearest urban center of Jasło.
The fortress earned the name Troy of the North due to its archaeological connections with Mediterranean cultures through discovered bronze objects.
