Gmina Budzyń, Administrative district in Chodzież County, Poland
Gmina Budzyń encompasses 209 square kilometers of territory in west-central Poland, containing the town of Budzyń and 15 additional villages and settlements.
The territory received its first documented mention in 1450, and the central town of Budzyń obtained municipal rights from King Casimir IV Jagiellon in 1458.
The district preserves architectural heritage through two notable churches: a Renaissance-style St. Barbara Church from 1849 and a former Protestant church from 1881.
The administrative headquarters of Gmina Budzyń operates from Przemysłowa Street 16A in Budzyń, serving a population of approximately 8,500 residents across the district.
During World War II, the district underwent significant demographic changes as German forces conducted systematic expulsions of Polish residents to eastern territories.
