Chmielnik

Chmielnik is a municipal district in Rzeszów County within the Podkarpackie Voivodeship in southeastern Poland. It encompasses several villages and settlements organized under one administrative center that serves the local population and surrounding communities.

The administrative district took its present form during Poland's 1998 territorial restructuring, when the country reorganized from 49 to 16 voivodeships. This reform significantly reshaped rural governance throughout the region.

Chmielnik maintains traditional Polish rural characteristics through its local governance structure, which includes village councils and community gatherings.

The area is primarily rural with agricultural land and small roads connecting the settlements. The best time to explore is from late spring through early autumn when the weather is stable and roads are easily accessible.

Chmielnik's position within Rzeszów County places it at the intersection of five neighboring gminas: Hyżne, Krasne, Łańcut, Markowa, and Tyczyn.
