Dziećkowice

The Dziećkowice reservoir extends across 7.3 square kilometers, containing 52.8 million cubic meters of water at an elevation of 234.5 meters above sea level.

The reservoir emerged from a former sand mining area, with construction completed between 1973 and 1976 to supply water and manage flooding in the region.

The reservoir hosts numerous sailing competitions throughout the year, including qualification rounds for the Polish National Championships in various water sports categories.

The water body maintains depths between 4 to 12 meters and supplies drinking water to surrounding communities while offering recreational activities such as fishing and boating.

This reservoir ranks as the largest by capacity in the Silesian Upland and stands as the fourth largest artificial water body in the Silesian Voivodeship.
