Opactwo Cystersów w Przemęcie, Cistercian monastery in Przemęt, Poland.
Kloster Przemęt is a Cistercian monastery in Przemęt featuring two towers with openwork spires, where the left tower retains its original 1725 dome while the right tower displays a 1984 reproduction. The complex includes barrel-vaulted and cross-vaulted cloisters adjacent to the church, with part of the southern section converted into a parish house.
The monastery was founded in 1278 and underwent reconstruction between 1758 and 1759 following a fire in 1742. This rebuilding shaped the complex's current appearance.
The interior displays unified Baroque carved altars and choir stalls arranged within a three-nave layout with a cross-shaped floor plan.
The grounds are easy to navigate since the complex is compact and the cloisters provide clear pathways. Visitors should check access beforehand, as parts of the grounds remain in use as a parish house.
The church walls preserve 18th-century polychrome decorations that underwent conservation after 1950, offering rare insight into the original colorful design of the interior space.
