Pałac w Izbicku

Schloss Stubendorf is a palace in Izbicko, Poland, built in the Baroque revival style. The rectangular structure features symmetrical facades with projecting sections on the south side, a mansard roof with multiple dormer windows, and sits within a surrounding park of about 10 hectares.

The palace first appeared in written records during the 16th century and underwent several rebuilding campaigns following fires in 1748, 1821, and 1921. Each reconstruction introduced fresh architectural influences that reflected changing tastes across the centuries.

The name reflects the Stubendorf families who once inhabited the property and shaped its identity. Today visitors can observe how the grounds were designed to display wealth and status in the traditional manner of Polish nobility.

The palace and park welcome visitors, though access to the interior requires advance arrangements with the current private owner. It is best to contact ahead to confirm that a visit can be accommodated.

Two stone boar statues stand guard at the entrance gate, originating from the coat of arms of the Strachwitz family who once owned the property. These sculpted sentries serve as a lasting connection to the noble lineage that shaped the palace.
