Iuliu Maniu memorial house in Bădăcin, Sălaj

The memorial house displays traditional Romanian architectural elements with two main wings, multiple rooms, and period-specific construction techniques from the late 19th century.

Built in 1879 by Ioan Maniu, the house became the residence of Iuliu Maniu, who served three times as Prime Minister of Romania between World Wars.

The memorial exhibits personal items including furniture, documents, a hat, and a walking stick that belonged to the Maniu family throughout generations.

The memorial house offers guided visits through telephone appointments with curator Cristian Borz, who maintains the museum collection and documentation.

During renovation works, workers discovered a Roman stone tablet from 213 CE, gifted to Iuliu Maniu by villagers from Moigrad, embedded in the house walls.
