The Iuliu Maniu memorial house in Bădăcin is a residential building with traditional Romanian architectural features arranged in two main wings and multiple rooms. The structure displays construction methods from the late 19th century with period-specific details throughout.

The house was built in 1879 by Ioan Maniu and later became the home of his son Iuliu Maniu, who served as Prime Minister of Romania three times during the interwar period. This connection to a major political figure of that era links the building to key developments in Romanian history.

The rooms contain personal items from the Maniu family across generations, including furniture, documents, a hat, and a walking stick that reveal daily life and social standing. Visitors can see how the family expressed their position through the objects they kept and displayed.

Visits require advance arrangement by telephone with curator Cristian Borz, who oversees the museum collection and records. It is helpful to confirm exact visiting conditions and requirements before planning your visit.

During renovation work, construction workers discovered a Roman stone tablet dated 213 CE that villagers from Moigrad had given to Iuliu Maniu as a gift. The artifact was later embedded in the house wall and now forms part of the structure itself.
