Teleki Castle is a Baroque château in Comlod comprising five separate buildings decorated with typical Baroque features and displaying the Teleki-Haller coat of arms above its main entrance. The complex forms a cohesive group of structures arranged around courtyards.
Construction of the château began after 1746 under Count Pál Teleki, during a period when the family wielded considerable power in Transylvania. The building work was completed gradually over the following years.
The castle now serves as a space for concerts and exhibitions, offering visitors chances to connect with Romanian heritage through art and music. The grounds and buildings create an active setting where regional artistic life takes place.
The site is best accessed by car, as it sits in a rural area where road access is the primary way to arrive. It is helpful to check beforehand whether events are scheduled, as these may affect opening times.
The door bolt of the main building carries the year 1752 engraved into it, offering a rare precise date for the structure. This small architectural detail allows historians to pinpoint exactly when this particular component was finished.
