Bovansko Jezero

Lake Bovan extends over 5 square kilometers with a length of 8 kilometers and a width of 500 meters at an elevation of 250 meters.

The construction of the dam on Sokobanska Moravica River in 1978 created this artificial reservoir to manage water resources in the region.

Local residents gather at the lake's beach for volleyball matches and community events throughout the warm season, maintaining regional social connections.

The reservoir supplies water to Aleksinac city and supports the operations of Djerdap hydroelectric stations located along the Danube River.

The lake maintains a maximum depth of 50 meters while averaging 7 meters, creating varied aquatic zones that support different fish populations.
