Église Saint-Nicolas de Kikinda

The Saint Nicholas Church features a single nave design with a semicircular apse and elevated tower decorated with vase-shaped tiles at its western edge.

Construction of this religious edifice began during the second half of the eighteenth century, following the departure of Ottoman forces from the Habsburg-controlled region.

The church interior contains an iconostasis with paintings attributed to Teodor Ilić Češljar from 1773, displaying scenes of the Annunciation and the Crucifixion.

The church maintains its role as an active Serbian Orthodox place of worship while receiving protection as a Cultural Monument of Exceptional Importance.

The side facades incorporate distinctive decorative plastic motifs called lambrekene beneath each semicircular window, exemplifying regional architectural elements.
