Moskva Pool, Swimming pool in Moscow
Moskva Pool was once one of the world's largest open-air swimming pools.
Originally built on the site of the demolished Cathedral of Christ the Saviour in the 1960s.
The Moskva Pool served as a prominent recreational facility during its time.
Due to harsh winters, the pool had to be equipped with heating to prevent freezing.
Eventually replaced by a reconstruction of the original cathedral, the Moskva Pool is a testament to different eras in Russian history.
