The Old Saint Petersburg Stock Exchange features forty-four Doric columns, a massive red granite stylobate, and a monumental sculptural group depicting Neptune.
The building, completed in 1805, was designed by French architect Jean-François Thomas de Thomon, drawing inspiration from the Temple of Hera in Paestum.
The structure houses the Central Naval Museum, containing over eight thousand artifacts that document the evolution of the Russian Navy through time.
Located at Birzhevaia Ploshchad 4, the building stands at the center of Strelka Point, directly facing the Winter Palace across the Neva River.
Two rostral columns stand before the building, adorned with sculptures representing four major Russian rivers: Volga, Dnieper, Neva, and Volkhov.
