Vrams Gunnarstorp Castle
Vrams Gunnarstorp Castle, Renaissance château in Bjuv Municipality, Sweden.
The Dutch Renaissance castle features a symmetrical design with distinctive stepped gables, stone walls, and a central entrance flanked by towers.
Danish nobleman Jørgen Vind initiated the construction of Vrams Gunnarstorp Castle in 1633, during the period of Danish control over Skåne County.
The castle serves as a demonstration of Dutch architectural influences on Swedish noble residences during the 17th century Renaissance period.
Visitors need to schedule appointments in advance to tour the castle grounds, which include multiple buildings and surrounding parkland.
The Tornérhjelm family obtained the castle in 1838 through an exchange involving Össjö Castle and seventeen barrels of gold.
