Summer Archbishop's Palace, Baroque palace in Old Town, Slovakia
The Summer Archbishop's Palace exhibits grand white and yellow facades with ornate details across its three-story structure in central Bratislava.
Following the Ottoman occupation of Esztergom in 1543, Archbishop Ferenc Forgách acquired land and built the initial residence around 1614 in Bratislava.
Architect Franz Anton Hillebrandt expanded the structure between 1761 and 1765, incorporating Baroque and Rococo elements throughout the building design.
The palace functions as a government building, with limited public access during the annual Doors Open Days through guided tours.
The palace garden once contained a dedicated water pool specifically designed for horses to bathe during the Renaissance period.
