Slovak Radio Building, Media headquarters in Staré Mesto, Bratislava, Slovakia
The Slovak Radio Building consists of two pyramidal structures forming an inverted pyramid shape, reaching 80 meters with its antenna and steel construction.
Construction of this modernist structure began in 1967 during the socialist period, with completion in 1983 and regular broadcasting operations starting in March 1985.
The concert hall features a 6300-pipe organ and serves as the performance venue for the Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra, accommodating 523 spectators.
The inner pyramid contains professional broadcast equipment and recording studios, while the entire structure stands on springs to prevent sound vibrations.
This steel-frame building received recognition as Building of the Century in Slovakia within the community buildings category.
