Rajadamnern Stadium, Boxing stadium in Bangkok, Thailand
Rajadamnern Stadium is a boxing venue in Bangkok with 8,000 seats spread across multiple levels, featuring a central ring framed by traditional Thai design elements. Views from most seating areas offer clear sightlines to all action in the ring.
The stadium was ordered built in 1941, but World War II delayed completion until December 1945. It later became Thailand's most prominent Muay Thai arena.
Every fight opens with the Wai Kru ceremony, where fighters perform traditional movements to honor their trainers and the sport itself. These ritualistic gestures are woven into the fabric of Muay Thai and shape the experience of watching matches here.
The venue hosts Muay Thai events several times weekly, with premium seating typically reserved for international visitors. Arriving early helps you secure better views and experience the pre-fight atmosphere.
In 2022, the stadium made history by allowing female fighters to compete in the ring for the first time since opening. This change reflected a shift in how the sport welcomes all athletes.
