Wat Sangkat Rattana Khiri

Wat Sangkat Rattana Khiri is a Buddhist temple in Nam Suem divided into two distinct sections. The upper area sits on Khao Sakae Krang hill, accessible by a staircase decorated with Naga serpent figures.

The temple gained historical importance during King Rama V's reign when a bronze bell was cast and placed there. The site also contains a statue dedicated to the father of King Rama I.

The temple holds special meaning through its Tak Bat Thewo ceremony, where local Buddhists gather regularly to participate in this traditional offering ritual. These gatherings shape the spiritual life of the surrounding community.

Wear comfortable footwear, as the site requires climbing to reach the upper sections. The temple is located roughly 2 kilometers from Uthai Thani market and welcomes visitors during daylight hours.

A pavilion on the upper level houses a replica of Buddha's footprint, which is not found in many other temples. From this vantage point, visitors can also gaze out over the landscape of Uthai Thani.
