Bang Na, Administrative district in Bangkok, Thailand
Bang Na is a district in Bangkok, Thailand, divided into two sub-districts called Bang Na Nuea and Bang Na Tai. The area spans around 19 square kilometers and is connected to the rest of the city through major transport routes.
Bang Na became an independent district on March 6, 1998, separating from its previous administrative status. This change marked a turning point in how the area was managed and developed.
The name Bang Na comes from Thai and refers to the area's past as a rice-farming region. The neighborhood still has a more rural feel compared to many other parts of Bangkok.
The district is well served by the BTS Skytrain Sukhumvit Line, with stops at Udom Suk, Bang Na, and Bearing. These stations make it easy to move around the area and connect to other parts of Bangkok.
The area is home to the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre, which hosts major events like the Bangkok International Motor Show. This venue serves as a key gathering place for business and international exhibitions.
