Wat Lok Moli, Buddhist temple in northern Chiang Mai, Thailand

The temple features a massive exposed brick chedi rising in layers with a gilt finial and small Buddha images around its base.

The temple's first mention dates to 1367 when King Kuena invited ten Buddhist monks from Burma to promote Theravada Buddhism at this location.

The temple houses the ashes of several Mengrai dynasty members, including Queen Wisutthithewi, marking its role in royal religious practices.

Located 400 meters west of Chang Phuak gate on the north side of the city moat, the temple welcomes visitors daily from 6 AM to 5 PM.

Unlike traditional Buddhist temples oriented eastward, this temple follows a north-south axis with a viharn featuring black lacquered teak wood construction.
