Wat Bang Yai

The temple structure includes an ordination hall, prayer spaces, a crematorium, and a bell tower surrounded by traditional Thai architectural elements.

Founded in 1831 during the early Rattanakosin period, the temple started with a small Chinese-style brick and wooden ordination hall for 30 people.

The temple conducts regular meditation sessions, merit-making ceremonies, and Buddhist education programs through its Sunday school for local residents.

Visitors should wear appropriate clothing covering shoulders and knees when entering temple grounds, and remove shoes before entering prayer halls.

The temple features distinctive swan-decorated pillars and maintains active community programs, including summer novice monk ordination ceremonies.
