Selimiye Mosque, Ottoman mosque in Edirne, Turkey
The Selimiye Mosque is an architectural masterpiece designed by Mimar Sinan.
Built between 1569 and 1575 during the reign of Sultan Selim II.
The mosque's four minarets are said to represent the four caliphs after Prophet Muhammad.
It's open to visitors outside prayer times.
Its dome is higher than that of Hagia Sophia.
