Fatih Çeşmesi Nature Park

Welcome to Fatih Çeşmesi Nature Park, located in the Eyüp district of Istanbul Province, Turkey. This nature park is situated inside the Belgrad Forest and covers an area of about 29.5 hectares. It was declared a nature park by the Ministry of Environment and Forest in 2011 and is one of the nine nature parks inside the Belgrad Forest. The protected area is named after the Ottoman Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror, literally meaning "Fountain of the Conqueror". The park is about 6 km west of Bahçeköy and east of Kemerburgaz. Fatih Çeşmesi Nature Park is a great place for nature lovers as it has rich flora and fauna. The vegetation found in the park includes hornbeam, sweet chestnut, sessile oak, Kasnak oak, nak Turkey oak, common ivy, butcher's-broom, blackberry, cherry laurel, Chinese photinia, Syrian juniper, and catnip. The park is also home to a variety of bird species, with nearly 100 different types observed in the Belgrad Forest. Some of the bird species you may see include hawks, woodpeckers, European goldfinches, magpies, and passerines. Additionally, there are numerous mammals in the forest, such as deer, roe deer, wild boar, foxes, and even tortoises.
